The device I’ve received is not working with neither SD cards nor going through the process of flashing the cards again. The display doesn’t show anything. See below.

Got my Mars Lander v2 with a slight delay of 3 months, which is totally understandable. However, upon receiving it, I found the case broken. The team promptly sent me a new one for free along with a new SD card containing the latest updates. I'm very pleased with the support I received and eager to start mining once I receive the SD card. I'll continue to buy from the store in the future because of the exceptional 10/10 support from the team when I recieve my new SD and and start mining. Despite the delay, I'm happy, patience is key.

The product packaging and overall appearance is really nice but the screen sometimes won’t turn on. When it does turn on it will freeze up within 24 hours.

I had this on my gift list and was excited to have received it. I even ordered an R909 to add to it shortly thereafter. However, after almost 4 weeks of the pain and expense I've endured just to try and keep this "toy" up and running, I cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone other than someone who enjoys the hassle of trying to make an inferior product operate as expected.

First, the software is simply half-baked and sporadically corrupts when you unplug the unit because there is no shutdown process. The display will stay black after it has been re-powered. Also, it will always get corrupted if you shutdown to remove the MicroSD and modify the "wpa_supplicant.conf" or remove the "Delete..." file to change your IP Address and/or password to a new address and/or password (there is NO OTHER WAY to do it). Again, the display will stay black after it has been re-powered. It will also get corrupted if you try and run it at any frequency above 400 (the default it is shipped with is 440 frequency). And again, the display will go black or just lockup after 30-45 minutes and stay that way (unless you try to re-power it and then it will just stay black). As a side note, the upgraded Bitcoin Merch power supply I purchased didn't make a difference, either . . . although oddly enough, the original power supply for the Mars Lander seems to be providing a more stable environment than the upgrade - go figure. At 400 frequency with the original power supply it will run for 6-7 days and then the screen locks up or simply goes black. With the upgraded power supply it will run about an hour before the lockup or black screen. The ambient room temp is stable at 68F.

Now here's the real kicker, in all cases of the software corruption you will need to re-image the software onto the MicroSD and set up everything all over again! However, good luck getting any help or replacement software. I had to purchase the pre-flashed MicroSD cards and figure this out myself at $20 a pop! I did this after 2 attempts for support and heard nothing back but crickets after 4 days.

PROS:
1) It's cute.
2) It's pretty much plug & play (when it plays).
3) Expandable.

CONS:
1) Over priced.
2) Half-baked software.
3) No support.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
This wouldn't have been on my gift list had I known the deep and dark rabbit hole I was about to fall into. I'll just stick with Futurebit in the future.
