Step 1: Setting Up the Miner

1. Power Connection:

  • Unpack the Miner: Carefully take the miner and accessories out of the box.
  • Connect the Power Supply:
    • Take the custom BitcoinMerch power supply and plug it into the designated power port on the miner.
    • Connect the included power cord to the power supply.
    • Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

2. Network Connection:

  • Connect the Ethernet Cable:
    • Take the included Ethernet cable and plug one end into the Ethernet port on the miner.
    • Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into an available port on your router or network switch.

Step 2: Configuring the Miner

1. Finding the Miner on Your Network:

  • Download and Install Network Scanning Software:

    • Go to the official website of "Advanced IP Scanner" (or any similar network scanning tool) and download the software.
    • Follow the installation instructions provided by the software.
  • Locate the Miner's IP Address:

    • Open "Advanced IP Scanner" and click on the "Scan" button.
    • Wait for the scan to complete. Look for a new device on your network. Note down the IP address associated with it.

2. Accessing Miner Settings:

  • Open a Web Browser:

    • On your computer, open any web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
    • In the address bar, type the IP address you noted from the previous step and press Enter.
  • Log in to the Miner’s Interface:

    • A login page will appear. Enter the default username and password User - admin, Password - 12345678.
    • Click the "Login" button to access the settings.

3. Configuring Mining Settings:

  • Navigate to Mining Settings:

    • Once logged in, find the section labeled "Mining Settings" or similar.
    • Look for fields where you can enter mining pool information.
  • Enter Mining Pool Information:

    • Open a new tab in your web browser and go to the website of your chosen mining pool (e.g., viaBTC).
    • Register for an account if you don't have one.
    • Find the stratum address for Kaspa mining on the mining pool's website.
  • Update Miner Settings:

    • Go back to the miner’s settings page.
    • Replace the default mining pool settings with the stratum address from the mining pool.
