Initial Setup
- Set up your Bluetooth mouse by switching it on in the Bluetooth settings of the laptop.
- Connect the 7-port hub to power and the laptop's USB port.
- Install a single Compac F USB miner and its corresponding fan. Important: Always use a fan with the Compac F to prevent overheating.
- Open the cgminer folder and click 'start-cgminer.bat' to begin mining.
- Wait for the USB miner to reach full potential before adding the next Compac F and fan.
- Repeat the process for the remaining Compac F miners.
Configuring Your Miner
To receive payments:
- Right-click and edit 'start-cgminer.bat'.
- Locate the BTC address after '-u' and replace it with your own.
- To switch to a different SHA256 pool, replace the default pool address with your chosen pool's address.
Note: Avoid altering other settings to prevent errors. If issues arise, re-extract the original files.
Starting with Nicehash
To mine with Nicehash:
- Start the Nicehash software on the laptop.
- Install the Nicehash app on your phone and set up your wallet.
- Scan the QR code from the laptop screen using the Nicehash app.
- Click 'start mining' to begin.
